Opening PDF files ...

The image next to a link indicates a document that is formatted for printing and published as a PDF (portable document format). To open these files, you need to download and install the free Adobe Acrobat Reader program from www.adobe.com. Once the Reader program is installed, when you click on a link to a file ending in ".PDF," the Reader program should launch automatically and display the document. If you still have trouble, you can try saving the file to your hard drive, then open it with the Reader program. [If File > Save doesn't seem to be an option from your browser's menu bar, look for a diskette "save" icon in the toolbar just above the document - clicking that will invoke the Reader's "save" function.]
